Topcat is working on the donation box. To see if we can set the goal percentage at a monthly, quarterly, or yearly amount or whatnot to display the goal amount percentage reached.  

Website is billed per month, so say  ie: March is paid by March 1st 2024, for March 2024. And April is paid by April 1st for April 2024, respectively.

Game Server would be pretty much the same as it's payment commitment is the 4th of each month. 

As of now funds are met through June 1st 2024 for server and forums.

If we run just ONE game server off my machine this will put TOTAL costs of SERVER and WEBSITE to roughly $50 a month.  I have enough IP's and storage space to run 5 servers or more if we really wanted too.

For one game server I can cancel the extra IP's / ip block to get the costs of server and forums to $50 a month if we run just one game server.

I'm ready to go if you all are, I just renewed the dedicated server this week.  Just need to know if we're just running the main server or all 3 servers. XP and Admin levels will be transferred from current servers as I have access to the FTP for the current servers.

Website fees are $30 a month. Napoleon covered February's website cost. 

Server fees were $110 for the reliablesite.net server/machine that kate was paying for. Napoleon also covered $50 of this balance.

PLEASE  NOTE: Paypal id: [email protected] is just being used to cover what fees were covered by Alex aka hellreturn for us. Which was forum costs for February at $30 and January 19th - February 19th server cost at $110. So a big thanks to him for doing so.

Second Note: Game Server will be moved to my dedicated server to cut down on costs as $110 a month for a machine where we will be running one server off of wont be needed.

It is with sadness that I have to inform you today that macbeth (also known as ETS-Kate or Marianne ) has passed away.

She put her heart and soul into helping us hour after hour and became not only the administrator but also the soul of Splatterladder.

I will always remember her as a friendly, dedicated and kind-hearted grande dame of the Enemy Territory community.

My thoughts are with her family.

Hellreturn has been helping us out greatly with helping figure a way to get the domain transferred and tracking down info.

Thanks for the offers to help with servers. The servers will be  taken care of and a redirect.  We will be using my dedicated server. All I have to do at this point is switch server config from my tactical hardcore config to Kate's main server config.  ( this will be done a few days before current servers expire so I can grab the database file from current main server for everyone's XP and admin levels )

And @syK someone made a ets discord channel awhile ago. We could always make another one and use it as well as the forums.  We're trying to keep the forums since it has alot of work and time put into it from kate and has all her old post's etc ( kind of a memorial type thing  )

As it saddens me enough to hear the news of our beloved kate, topcat and I have been in some discussion.

Before kate started chemo she gave me all the info for the servers, just incase we had issues.

With that  being said, the servers will most likely  be offline at the next payment cycle next month.

With the amount of time and effort over the years kate has put into this community I would hate for it to go away.

To me I feel the need to continue the servers and community in her honor/memory.  

We are thinking just running ONE server off my dedicated machine ( since i still have it anyways ) which will be identical to our Main Silent server ( as I have access to all the files etc for the current servers ) once the current servers expire. 

*** I will cover server cost and maintenance and adding maps etc.  The website and forums portion is still in the works. ***

Hopefully you all feel the same as me about keeping this community alive.

Depending on what your old cpu specs were, versus new cpu specs are:

Sometimes going from an older or lower spec cpu to a newer cpu with better specs and performance, player movement and or player speed may seem or appear quicker, etc , in the FPS world. ( can or could be based off gpu, gpu ram/vram , and other things/components being better ) and just takes time getting used to the new setup. One would also be suprised what just a mouse switch changes lol. Took me weeks before getting a new mouse dialed in  lmao.

Without any sort of outlined issue like fps drop/loss, or other general ET performance issue makes it difficult to sort.

Any specific issues?

Fresh install of ET on this new cpu?

Or is it a backup from old PC on the new PC?

(Ie: silent folder, etmain, player profile with etconfig, etc)

**Feel free to give opinions, ideas, or suggestions For the expansion servers on my end. **

To help clarification:

Dedicated machine 1 will host our Main Silent Server, Classic Silent, And back to Sniper server if I'm correct per kate. 

Dedicated machine 2 has 5 available IPs. I can run 5 different servers on their own IP or multiple servers off a single IP.

So far via conversation with Kate, the ideas for dedicated machine #2 are:

Server 1: Vanilla server + Silent mod, competitive settings, FF ON. Etc ( plus this will also be reserved as a Silent Main backup server  if need be, And Possibly Game day events ? ) [ Tactical Harcore ]

Server 2:  fun wars + regular game play mix server via NQ ( Tactical Anarchy )

Server 3: et jump or etlegacy ( if legacy mod I would suggest a stable legacy server version and legacy 2.77 for mod ( Mostly due to ets server menus, and other reasons. )
