I play ET via steam. I went from et legacy client back to steam version. It's basically original version running 2.6b patch. So I don't understand why you can't change any settings as the options menu is the same 🤷‍♂️. 

Mods and maps will download when you connect to a server =)

Was referring to asking ets|members of whom all has been asked to join ets|. Instead of asking players if they would be interested in joining us in game and getting annoyed by being asked by multiple people 🤷‍♂️ 

Some of us have only been around for so long... figure better to ask on the forums then to ask people about recruitment while in game and annoy them if already been asked 🤷‍♂️

Has anyone tried to recruit: warthog,  brutus,  or whiner? I remember them from when I was in |ABC| before it died and they were regulars there back in 2012 or so. Some good long time players of the ET community. There are acouple other regulars too. I've tried to convince rabbit and napoleon a couple times lol. But they declined 🤷‍♂️ 

Think the main and only issue is that he runs the server empty almost everytime he joins. 🤷‍♂️

This topic has been beat around the bush for ages with ET. My post with the undetected game hook was just to remind people that those stupid hacks are still floating around. That way can know what to look for. Just making clear it wasn't meant to say oh! Hax0r! Lol.

Config/cfg can only change so much, visual  and performance wise. 

Scripts are slightly different as can bind +sprint;+attack to mouse 1, fov change when shooting versus not and also with fps change to help flinch/recoil supposedly and much more.

Do we have players that are just worried about frags and high k/d, yes.

Do we have players that play for objective, yes.

Do we have players that play for fun throwing knives and satchel charges,  yes.

It's always going to be this way, just have to find a happy medium so it doesn't empty a server after getting wrecked for 15-20minutes straight and people disconnecting left and right. 

2MH hit a good point too about stacked teams with high k/d and other team is mixed or equally lesser k/d wise. 

Yesterday night was a good example 

Allies:

Cino 5.0+/-

Lc 4.0+/-

Massive 4.0 +/-

And so forth 

With axis:

All 2.0-3.0+/- ratios 

Next map give credit to Massive to switching to axis to help balance.

I have no issues with going 1vs1 with them high k/d players. You win some and you lose some. 

My issue is when we continue seeing our server numbers drop drastically because.of it. 

Not saying I'm an elite or pro player, them days are over for me. I've been in ET scrim leagues with players such as ~eclipse, refl3x, tomun, n0rb1 etc etc back in the day. I'm getting old and after 18 years of this game soon for me I'm just happy it's alive and kicking still and enjoy a blast of the past and have fun abit, drink a beer and stab people and such after a 6 day work week or 10-12hr work day. Have some.laughs and just enjoy everyone's company on the server and vsay some taunts lol. 

Also our bots are idunno sometimes, think we've all brought it up once or twice. I've seen covies blast a charge on a non built MG gun or destroyed mg or objective thats been destroyed or not even built many times. And the list continues..

So what would be a happy medium?

Players evening teams are only going to do so much.

Maybe look into what cvars can be forced for certain things that we don't already have forced?

Autoshuffle based on k/d and pwr at beginning of each map after a map? Many servers do this about everyother map or everymap.

ANYWAYS....On average there are 385 servers.Most nights our server is top 10 and lower  with players according to trackbase.  So we're doing something right. 

Note: there are still undetected hacks floating around. Scripts nor a cfg will give you the ability to track players through walls etc as kybrj has stated.

Said group that frequents our server also play original maps USA server. Which has no anti cheat enabled...

To me, anyone who runs the server empty of members and regulars should be warned and tone down game play. IE: change to classes they don't usually play, have fun etc etc. There are times I'll play just with throwing knives just because it's fun and adds a challenge.  I've noticed there are alot of players whom just arty spam spawns and waypoints and same with rnade and panzer.  I find it odd though that players that have been iffy and questionable don't have to vsay spam for a med or ammo..bots just show up. I've vsay spammed need a medic etc and they just walk on by like I'm a ghost. Same thing with bots engaging said players like they're in a uni as covie 🤷‍♂️

I think JET was talking about game hunting versus hunting for food and comparison crime to it IN His Country.

Remember Brazil life style is a bit different than said 'Merica or Canada and other counties. Hunting for food to survive has migrated into game/sport hunting over many decades in some countries.  Some countries and cultures respect nature and consider the land they roam as sacred etc. Kind of like bier said: " How things are done over here and how things are done over there also plays a big role, cultural differences etc. makes it hard to compare cases"

Me personally I'm a sucker for Venison, as my boss has his own butcher that prepares his game/sport hunt meat each year for the winter and gives his employees venison sausage etc.
