According to Silky we already received enough money to cover for site and server untill around september, so im disabeling the donation box for now.

Yes im not sure about the donation box, the goal was set at 1000, but I didnt see any option to have this goal reset every month, it would have been nice cause then people could see how much that had been donated and if the goal had been reached for each month. Will look more into this and see if there is a way it can be reset on the 1st of every motnh.

The donation box is up again on the top right side of the forum, it's updated with the new paypal address so it's ready for donations. If we keep just the main server we shold be able to keep cost around 50-60$ for site and server according to Silky,

Yes if more people donate you can just donate smaller amount each, like 10 - 20$ or so, then 50$ will be reached in no time. We can always post here if money is needed, and maybe post here if you donate bigger amount than 20$ so that people doesnt donate more than needed. It's not a big deal if donation goes a little over 50$, they can always be used for the next month.

The new paypal will be up soon so you can donate through the donation box on the right side of main forum as before, it's down right now but will be up and visible as soon as I have the new paypal email info.

Our server hoster said that 110$ was already too much and that we would be able to do it cheaper, not sure if he means through another hoster or something waiting for his reply regarding that. He said it was kates wish to pay 110$ and do it this way. He said we should be able to do it for 60$ with all 3 servers included.

Thats really strange since she passed away on january 19, also not sure what hellreturn.comme is about. He is our server hoster but what did she want to say with this. Unless it was her husband who send it, but still very strange.

Guys pleaase dont donate to the current paypal link on forum, it goes to kate but she is not here so the money will go to waste. I dont think her husband knows her paypal. I did mention it to him but dont know if he saw it. Still waiting for his reply. Further payment from now is going to our hoster, but no need to donate more than needed so we need some cordination. Also when donating maybe put in the name ETS so he knows where the money is for. I'll have to see if we can change the paypal link on the main forum.

It is with saddened heart that I must tell that on January 19 following breast and lung cancer, Kate passed away. I got the message from her husband today.

I dunno what to say, im so sad, I been here since around 2004-2005 and talked with Kate for god knows how many hours, through all the years through the ups and down, the good times and the bad times. I knew she had back pain problems but it came as a shock to all of us when she told us she had breast cancer and was going through chemo. We all hoped she would get through it but as time went on without any news I think I can say for all that we all got more and more worried.

I really don't know what to say, i'm still in schock and very sad. Kate my friend we will all miss you, thank you for all you did for us and for the server throughout the years, I will miss our daily chats and having you around. May you rest in peace.

My deepest condolosence goes out to her husband, kid, and to her family.

As for the server and forum I dont know what will happen, if someone wants to help and pay to keep it running, in memory of Kate. I dont know what Kate would have wanted but she often expressed that she would like to close the server so if that is her wish I will respect that. I will talk to our server hoster and see what we will do and then I wait for her husband to reply.

Everyone please leave a kind message for Kate and her family.

Yes I can do it if you let me know how. The other servers are now showing on gametracker so I added them also and changed the text at the top of the portal page a little bit so that it sounded better.

The new server IP's can also be seen on the main front page here https://ets-clan.com/
So not sure if we need to move it to another subforum. But maybe can make a post under the announcements and news forum. But people will see the new servers on the main page so should be fine. And once the old is stopped they will only see the new when looking at the ET master servers list and on splatter it will appear as offline and after some days it will be gone from splatter so only the new servers shows up when searching.

I guess it can happen that a process related to ET is still running, so the best is to open the task manager and check for anything related to ET and then click it and end the process.

Probably just some process related to ET was still running and why you could not delete before machine was restarted
