Bridging the Gap Between Innovation and Expertise in Global Workshops
CEDAR
PARK, Texas – November 2, 2023 – ETS-Lindgren, the world-renowned leader in Electromagnetic
Compatibility Test and Measurement Solutions, is excited to announce its active
participation in two prestigious events highlighting the company's commitment
to knowledge-sharing and innovation.
The
Technology Innovation Institute’s (TII) Directed Energy Research Center (DERC)
in Abu Dhabi has organized “Antenna Measurement Techniques," slated for
Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the TII office in Tawazun Industrial Park (TIP).
Participants in this interactive workshop organized by DERC’s Electromagnetic
Department can look forward to classroom lectures and live demonstrations — a
dynamic and invaluable learning experience.
A notable
figure in his field, Zhong Chen, Chief Engineer at ETS-Lindgren, will take the
stage to share his insights on topics including anechoic absorbers, EMC and RF
test chamber design and performance, and antenna characterization concepts. If
time allows, Mr. Chen, former Vice President of the Antenna Measurement
Techniques Association (AMTA) Board of Directors, AMTA Fellow, and current
member of the IEEE EMC Society Board of Directors, will conduct a live demo of
the time domain measurement technique as specified in ANSI C63.25.1.
The seminar
also provides an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the IEEE EMC
Society and the IEEE Joint AP/MTT/IM Societies’ UAE Chapter. Janet O'Neil,
Customer Relations Manager at ETS-Lindgren and Vice President of the Board of
Directors with the IEEE EMC Society, will be present to support the
establishment of the first EMC Society chapter in the UAE, highlighting the
dedication of both organizations to contribute to the local industrial
ecosystem.
Ilhem
Toumi, Medical Sales Director at ETS-Lindgren, has played an integral role in
organizing this event on behalf of the EMC Society and TII, a valued ETS-Lindgren
customer.
"The
collaboration among the IEEE EMC Society, IEEE Joint AP/MTT/IM Societies’ UAE
Chapter, and TII represents a significant milestone in our efforts to foster technological
creativity in regional companies," said Ms. Toumi. "We are thrilled to
see the enthusiastic response from the local community, including individuals
who participated in the 2022 and 2023 IEEE EMC+SIPI Symposia. Their readiness
to support a new EMC chapter is indeed promising."
To further
enrich the workshop's agenda and emphasize the industry's dedication to diversity
and inclusivity, there will be an IEEE Women in Engineering meeting on
Wednesday, November 15, where Ms. O’Neil will be an invited speaker.
In
addition to its Middle Eastern presence, ETS-Lindgren is also contributing to the
one-day European conference "Exploring EMC," set to take place at the
prestigious British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire, England,
on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Hosted by
the UK’s electronic test solution, service, and consultancy provider MDL
Technologies, "Exploring EMC" offers attendees the opportunity to
deepen their understanding of EMC and gain insights into the latest test
standards and practical design. This knowledge-building event features speakers
from distinguished organizations including ETS-Lindgren, PMM Narda, Raditeq,
Haefely, RentalTec, Tektronix, Y.I.C. Technologies, and Unit 3 Compliance.
One of the
featured speakers is Ryan Fergus, EMC Engineer at ETS-Lindgren. He will be
presenting "Considerations for a Successful EMC Test Program,"
providing valuable insights and guidance to those seeking excellence in EMC
testing.
Besides
presentations on timely topics, participants will be treated to networking
opportunities, a complimentary lunch and refreshments, and the privilege of
exploring the British Motor Museum's impressive collection of more than 400
classic cars.
Free
admission will be extended to the first 100 registrants. Don't miss this
opportunity to expand your knowledge, connect with industry leaders, and
